Cells cylindrical, bluish-green, with homogeneous content, isodiametric or twice longer than wide (1-3 um long). Occasionally forms groups of several filaments. Trichomes surrounded by about 1 um wide, yellowish gelatinous sheath. "Septa occasionally hardly discernible." The generic classification should be revised.
